As we continue to expand rapidly, we’re seeking a reliable and technically confident Videographer to support our on set filming demands and ensure smooth, high-quality footage delivery.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives behind the scenes — setting up cameras and lighting, capturing clean footage, and managing compression and upload workflows with care and precision.
Responsibilities
- Filming Setup & Operation
- Prepare and operate a three-camera setup for filming Pilates class content.
- Set up and adjust lighting on location, ensuring clarity and consistency across all cameras.
- Work collaboratively with the Director and Pilates models to ensure professional and efficient shoot execution.
- Independently assess and adjusts technical camera settings to meet the production requirements.
- Monitor focus and framing during live filming, responding in real-time to feedback from the director.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of camera, lighting, or media card issues independently on set.
- Ensure all equipment is handled with care, kept clean and organised, and returned after shoots in good working order.
- Data Management & Upload
- Immediately post-shoot, transfer all footage to a provided external hard drive, following standard file naming conventions.
- Compress footage to pre-agreed resolution and format, ensuring compatibility with downstream editing requirements.
- Upload footage to BoxDrive within 24 hours of filming.
- Collaborate with the Video Editor to refine compression specs as needed.
- Follow documented workflows for file management and BoxDrive protocols, with support provided for initial orientation.
Required Mindset, Skills, and Experience:
- Essential:
- Available to travel to O’Connor, Perth for shoots scheduled approximately every two weeks, typically between 6am–4pm on weekdays
- Ability to reliably turn around footage within 24 hours post-filming, with minimal supervision.
- Proven experience operating multi-camera setups, with the ability to independently configure exposure, white balance, and frame alignment without supervision.
- Confident adjusting on-set lighting to match creative direction and maintain visual consistency across takes.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with camera hardware, lighting gear, and media card errors — capable of resolving issues on the fly without supervision.
- Demonstrated experience compressing large video files with a practical understanding of visual quality and compression trade-offs
- Highly organised and process-oriented with the ability to follow precise file naming conventions, folder structures, and upload workflows without being micromanaged.
- Reliable and self-motivated, with a strong sense of ownership over footage quality and timely delivery.
- Fluent English communication skills and a professional, collaborative on-set presence.
- Desirable:
- Previous experience in a video production environment, ideally involving fitness, movement, or instructional content.
- Familiarity with BoxDrive and Notion
- Experience with audio capture and monitoring (e.g., lav mics, boom, sync) — not currently required, but valued for potential future needs.

- Footage is consistently sharp, well-framed, and visually aligned across all cameras.
- Lighting setups are handled with confidence and require minimal adjustment during live filming.
- The Director can focus on creative direction, trusting that all technical setup and troubleshooting is managed smoothly.
- Raw footage is always backed up, compressed, and uploaded within 24 hours without delay.
- File naming conventions, folder structures, and BoxDrive uploads are clean, consistent, and easy for editors to navigate.
- Shoot days run efficiently with on set issues bring proactively identified and resolved promptly.
- The team feels supported by your professional presence, clear communication, and full ownership of all filming logistics.

This is a contract position based in Perth, with flexible weekday shoots scheduled approximately every two weeks. You’ll be responsible for setting up and operating cameras and lighting on shoot days, then managing the compression and upload of footage within 24 hours.
